Bad Ice-Cream

You play an ice cream char that can breathe freezing breath, turning ice blocks into tools to clear your path or shields against enemies. The objective in Bad Ice-Cream is simple enough: You must eat all the fruit chocolates scattered about the stage before the time runs out. However, strange creatures roam the maze, ready to block your way or chase you down at any moment.

You shimmy into a maze of ice blocks for each level. There are fruit throughout the map like banans, grapes, watermelons, etc., that must be collected to complete the objective. Blocked paths force you to break through the ice or alter the maze's structure to keep moving.

You play the game as your character who has control over ice. If you're in need of clearing a path, you can hold the breath button to send a frosty gust that breaks the ice block in front of you. Or if you want to block an enemy's path, you can form new ice blocks into a temporary wall. Since the same skill serves two different purposes, timing is everything—choosing the right moment is key to collecting fruit safely.

With enemies moving through the maze, you can’t simply dash toward the nearest piece of fruit. Occasionally, you'll have to take detours, distract adversaries, or make your own ice walls to get yourself some time to collect the rest of the items. A countdown timer adds pressure, so you need to make every decision carefully.

Strawberry Ice Cream

The character's bright pink contrasts with the snowy, icy background. This is a fun option if you want to switch up your look while hunting for fruit.

The brown colour theme consists of the other two flavours. You can select your favorite character before starting a level.

1 and 2 Player Mode

Bad Ice-Cream has options for your play style:

• 1 Player: Navigate your ice cream character through maze-like levels avoiding enemies. This mode is perfect for focusing on clearing levels at your own pace.
• 2 Players: 2 players play on one screen moving with different keys. You can work together to collect fruit faster, help each other block opponents, or divide tasks to reach difficult areas.

Mazes: Solving them

Observe the entire map before moving: Identify the locations of the fruit and potential paths to avoid unnecessary backtracking.

• Use ice to control enemies: Create barriers in narrow passages to keep opponents at a distance while you collect fruit.
• Don’t break ice out of habit: An ice block that’s blocking an enemy’s path can actually be useful. Only clear a path when you are ready to move through it.
• Prioritize dangerous areas: If fruit is located near an enemy or in a tight corner, plan your entry and escape routes before approaching.
• Keep an eye on the clock: Don’t spend too much time in one area. If your current path isn’t working, look for a different approach.

The tandem 2-player is divided so that you can get fruit in different places so that the travelling time is to a minimum and you do not get in the way of each other.
